Storytelling

Inspired by the act and concept of reuse, repurpose and recycle, I strive to bring old or discarded things to new light. Collage is about juxtaposition and interpretation. I love the hands-on exploration and discovery of collage and assemblage that inevitably leads to surprise compositions along the way. I draw inspiration from my family history, my travels and hikes, and my sketchbooks.

Collage

For me, Collage is about the arrangement and juxtaposition of disparate elements into a new connected whole. Each collage tells a second story that its parts alone would not be able to impart. I love this discovery.

Sketchbook

In-the-Instant collages. The point is to work quick and small. I carry around a few envelopes of scrap papers left over from larger projects and use these scraps and a glue stick to "sketch" in my visual poetry exercise book.

Photography

Texture, pattern and collections. I look for collage in nature and the city street and capture it just for the beauty of the texture itself or for reuse in my montages.

Recent Work & Upcoming Events

The Art Muse. Currently I have a selection of small works, mini's and cards for sale at this wonderful Gallery, Gifts & Art Supplies store in Woodinville, WA. Open weekdays 11am - 6pm.

I am back at the Arts of Snohomish Gallery as a guest artist. My collages are on display in the Foyer through April 2026.

Save the date! The Woodinville Arts Alliance Studio Tour is May 16 & 17. I will have a booth and hope you can visit. More details in April.
