“Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.” – Pablo Picasso
Inspired by the act and concept of reuse, repurpose and recycle, I strive to bring old or discarded things to new light. Collage is about juxtaposition and interpretation. I love the hands-on exploration and discovery of collage and assemblage that inevitably leads to surprise compositions along the way. I draw inspiration from my family history, my travels and hikes, and my sketchbooks.
A dozen collages are on display through May at Prohibition Cellars, Woodinville, as part of the Woodinville Arts Alliance Art Experience. Check out this fun venue with the hidden doors!
